What taurine is

What it is

Taurine is an essential amino acid for cats: their body needs it and cannot make enough of it, so it has to come from what they eat.

Why it has to come from the food

Cats cannot synthesise enough taurine. Whatever they get, they get from their diet.

An authorised feed additive (3a370)

Taurine is an authorised feed additive (3a370) and no maximum has been set for cats.

The scoop that comes in the jar: one a day, 2–5 kg.

What is in the jar, and how much you give

+Pets Pure Taurine is taurine as a powder, with a scoop. You add it to the food he already eats: one scoop a day for a cat of 2–5 kg, ½ scoop under 2 kg, 1½ scoops over 5 kg. If your cat is on treatment, ask your vet first.

What we do not claim

We do not tell you what will change, or when: every cat is different, and we don't promise what we can't show. This is a feed additive for cats, not a veterinary medicine, and it does not replace a balanced diet or your vet's advice.
