Who is responsible

What we collect

  • Order data: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone, what you bought, payment confirmation (card numbers are handled by our payment providers, never stored by us).
  • Account and subscription data: login, preferences, subscription settings.
  • Support data: emails, chat messages, photos you send us for a guarantee claim.
  • Site and device data: pages viewed, clicks, device and browser type, approximate location, IP address, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookie Policy).
  • Marketing data: newsletter and SMS sign-ups, campaign interactions, reviews you leave.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

  • To process, ship and support your orders and subscriptions: performance of a contract.
  • To send order, shipping and subscription emails: performance of a contract.
  • To prevent fraud, handle disputes and protect the shop: our legitimate interest.
  • To improve the site and measure our marketing: our legitimate interest and, where required, your consent.
  • To send newsletters, offers and personalised ads: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (unsubscribe link, cookie settings, or an email to us).
  • To comply with tax, accounting and consumer law: legal obligation.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the shop, under contracts that limit what they can do with your data: Shopify (store, checkout, payments), payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal), our fulfilment and shipping partners and carriers (to deliver your parcel), email/SMS platforms (Klaviyo), analytics and advertising platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok), customer-support and review tools. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if the law requires it or to defend our rights.

International transfers

We are a US company and some providers process data in the United States or other countries. For EU/UK data we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and UK extension) for certified providers and on Standard Contractual Clauses otherwise.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice data: as long as tax and accounting law require (generally 10 years). Account data: until you delete your account or after 3 years of inactivity. Marketing data: until you unsubscribe. Site analytics: per the cookie lifetimes in the Cookie Policy. Support tickets: 3 years.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent. Email support@gopluspets.com; we answer within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity.

European Union and United Kingdom

The GDPR / UK GDPR apply. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali). Where we have no establishment in the EU/UK, you can contact us directly at the address above.

United States

Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may request access, deletion and correction, and opt out of "sales" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money; we may share site data with advertising partners as described above, and you can opt out through the cookie settings or by emailing us with "Do not share" in the subject. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

Our site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Security

Checkout is encrypted (TLS) and payments are handled by PCI-DSS certified providers. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever discover a breach affecting you, we will inform you as the law requires.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top tells you when. Material changes are announced on the site or by email.
